Social Security Caught Shortchanging Seniors – Corruption Rocks Washington

Social Security is one of the most mentioned phrase in the media lately.

Seniors got promised many changes, but it seems none of them are actually happening. Trump is looking forward to make them true, but remains to see what will happen.
Most people payed into it for decades, and can not stay calm. Take a look.
According to Patriot Journal:
Washington DC is shaking, lawmakers are constantly trying to find a way to solve this major problem. Take a look at this creative accounting from the Social Security’s office.
Seeking Alpha published about the math formula that is used from the Social Security, to lower the cost-of-livings for every American Senior. The COLA is based on the little-followed Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers CPI-W.
Apparently the Social Security doesn’t use full year of 12 months to determine the COLA, instead they are using only third quarter of the year, and more exactly July, August and September. The average of those three months is determines COLA.
If the actual year has deflation, the COLA is 0,0% and the formula skips that year in determining the next year’s COLA. This “skipping” formula led the COLA be 0,0% in full 3 years, which is shocking.
Apparently this is wrong math from the Social Security office, and many found it disturbing. This scheme is constantly lowering the amount of money given to the Seniors in America.
We know that when it comes about people’s money, government is responsible for everything, but this kind of lowering doesn’t bring much “Christmas Spirit” to America.  The payouts that are provided to the recipients is actually lower than the average cost of living in the U.S.
This problem makes big noise so far, and remains to see how the government officials will solve this problem.
