Georgia Teacher Makes Teens Remove ‘MAGA’ Shirts, Fed-Up Parents Remove Something Of Hers

When two of her students wore “Make America Great Again” t-shirts to school, Georgia math teacher Lyn Orletsky was immediately triggered. Apparently, a t-shirt is all it takes these days for liberals to lose it. Orletsky demanded that the students remove their Trump shirts, but she never expected that their fed-up parents would remove something of hers in return.

Calling President Donald Trump’s campaign tagline a “neo-Nazi slogan,” Lyn Orletsky demanded that her students turn their shirts inside out. Wearing a shirt which says “Make America Great Again” is the same as “wearing a swastika,” she claimed, according to Turning Point News.

When word got out about the incident, Orletsky was promptly placed on administrative leave. Then, she says she started receiving death threats. Ultimately, Orletsky resigned herself to the fact that her teaching career was effectively over. Apparently seeing no way to recover from the ordeal, she announced that she had decided to resign from her position at River Ridge High School.
According to Daily Mail, Orletsky released a statement on Wednesday, saying, “After attacks on my character and threats on my life, I have made the decision to resign from my teaching position at River Ridge High School. While in hindsight I would have handled the situation differently, the outcry over this incident has been disproportionate to the event itself.”
Not exactly. This is precisely the sort of ordeal which warrants the termination of an educator. The job of a teacher is to facilitate learning, not indoctrinate the next generation.
In one last twist of the knife for the disgraced math teacher, Cherokee County spokeswoman Barbara Jacoby condemned Orletsky, saying, “Her actions were wrong, as the ‘Make America Great Again’ shirts worn by the students are not a violation of our School District dress code. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower is deeply sorry that this incident happened in one of our schools. It does not reflect his expectation that all students be treated equally and respectfully by our employees.”
Orletsky’s resignation submission is due for discussion on October 19. Should the board decide to accept her resignation, which they are expected to do, her final day will be November 1.
If Orletsky had seen any of her students wearing an “I’m With Her” t-shirt, would she have asked them to turn it inside out? After all, Hillary Clinton is married to a man who has routinely assaulted women throughout his political career, and she took campaign donations from Harvey Weinstein, another serial sexual abuser. Somehow, though, I don’t think Orletsky would have been “triggered” by a shirt with Hillary’s campaign slogan.
You have got to be seriously confused to actually associate making America great with genocide. It’s no wonder they say liberalism is a mental illness! It’s a darn good thing this sorry excuse for a teacher has been removed from the classroom. She has no business shaping the minds of impressionable high school students.
